There are some visual tests that contain images that at first glance have nothing to do with you, but ultimately offer valuable insights into your personality.
One of these tests was shared by psychotherapist Emily Iniekio on TikTok, using simple images. According to her, this test shows what relaxes you.
According to Iniekio, by choosing one of the eight images presented, you can determine exactly what gives you the feeling of relaxation.
She shares eight images that include: a plant, the interior of a building, a green forest, waves crashing on the beach, an adorable puppy, an artistic structure, a canvas with blue paint, and a work of art.
This simple image test reveals how your brain relaxes: below, choose the image that appeals to you the most.

If you chose image #1 – Plant
The plant shown is an example of a natural fractal, an object with repeating, symmetrical, and regular geometric patterns.
According to Iniekio, “it is very calming for the brain, because our brain is always trying to create order out of chaos.”
If you chose image #2 – Architectural building
Just as fractals appear in nature, they are also found in architecture. They are repeating patterns that, she says, are intentionally used in buildings to evoke a sense of calm.
If you chose image #3 – Green Landscape
After spending most of our time indoors, going outside can be a welcome relief. Green landscapes have a calming effect on our brains.
Iniekio tells followers that they are so powerful that Japanese businesses force employees to take walks every day.
If you chose image #4 – Beach
When you think of someone who lives near the beach, you always picture them as relaxed and calm. Scientists believe that the rhythmic movement of the waves has a calming effect that helps us slow down and be more present.
If you chose image #5 – Puppy
Who doesn't love a small, cuddly puppy? Besides being adorable, they also have a psychological effect.
Iniekio cites a 2009 study that found that looking at images of puppies activates our parental instinct for care, which improves concentration.
If you chose image #6 – Metal art
Iniekio says that people tend to prefer curved shapes, both in their physical appearance and in the environments they live in.
A study from Johns Hopkins University showed that participants felt more excited when looking at curved shapes compared to straight ones.
If you chose image #7 – Blue color
Another study found that shades of blue help reduce anxiety in people. Blue is associated with calm, relaxation, and mindfulness.
If you chose image #8 – Artwork
Iniekio believes that viewing beautiful art can increase levels of dopamine in the brain, a chemical that is released when we feel pleasure and that helps reduce anxiety, making us feel happier.
