To make their day even more special and memorable, bride Kelly Anne Ferraro chose her wedding dress given the blindness of her husband, Anthony. For her outdoor wedding, held in Maine on Oct. 2, Kelly wore a white dress, which contained a velvet ribbon around the waist, embroidered flowers and lace. The idea was for the whole dress to have a pronounced texture.
"Even the back part even had a texture. She surprised me even with a fantastic jacket she had made to order for me and had fringe hanging on her arms. It reminded me of our first meeting," said Anthony Ferraro.
For Kelly, choosing a dress that Anthony could feel was one of the most important details of the day.
"The things I can touch and feel good about are really important to me. It creates an image of how you look in my head. Kelly looked like an angel," the groom recalls.
This is not the only thing Kelly has thought about. The entire boho-chic wedding decor was created so that Anthony could move freely. Kelly also points out that in their home "sharp corners and edges are covered".
"I made our house accessible, of course I would do the same with the wedding. It was one of the most beautiful days of our lives!"
