If someone told you that Ellen DeGeneres had left the United States to live on a farm in England, you would probably imagine something modest, a little mud, a lot of straw and maybe a donkey in the background. But no! Ellen showed us that her "farm" is more of a star's retreat than a country home.
The famous moderator, along with his wife Portia de Rossi, have left behind the American political noise after the re-election of Donald Trump as president and have settled in a quiet English village, where, surprisingly, sheep enter the house through the glass door as if they were part of the decor.
In a video posted to Instagram, the sheep are seen calmly entering the minimalist home, approaching the couple's small dog, which is lying comfortably on its luxurious bed. One of the sheep, which Portia calls "Bernie," tries to figure out if the rug is edible, while Portia gently shoos it away, amid laughter.
Ellen, in her characteristic way, writes: "We have sheep at home," accompanying it with a video of a real sheep walking past a sheep-shaped decoration.
In the background are leather chairs with flannel blankets, striped rugs, and natural light that brightens every corner of the house. And yes, one of the sheep stands calmly by the door, like a real guard.
Fans are in love with this unknown side of the couple. "The house is a dream," writes one follower. Others are asking for a full "tour" of the house, and rightly so!
This isn't the first time Ellen has given us glimpses of her rural life. In May, she was spotted riding a lawnmower.
Disappointed by the outcome of the 2024 election, Ellen and Portia made the decision to immediately leave the US and relocate to this quiet corner of England. While rumors circulated about flooding on their farm, Ellen calmly denied it in a loving post on their wedding anniversary: ??“Our farm did not flood.”
Together, in an environment that looks more like something out of a magazine than a farm, the couple lives peacefully; with dogs, sheep, love, and a lot of style. We've cried for them in vain!
