Journalist Klodiana Lala was invited to "The Dalina Show" on Andale Media, where she spoke openly about the Kalashnikov attack on her parents' house, a serious event that occurred six years ago and left a shock in her life and that of her family.
The incident happened 6 years ago, when her parents' house was shot with 10 Kalashnikov bullets. Klodiana herself was not in the apartment at the time, but her daughters, parents and four other people were inside. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Asked by Dalina Buzi if the issue has been resolved, Klodiana said:
"No, it remains under investigation. It is a matter for the authorities. The authorities have certainly been working on it initially, as far as I am informed."
She then spoke about her emotional experience and the impact this event had on her personal life:
"It was definitely a shocking event. It took me a long time to recover from it, even though I didn't show it on screen."
Lala revealed for the first time that it took her a long time to feel good after the event as she saw her parents:
"After that event, even though I returned to reporting, and on the one hand it made me strong and made me understand that if you are with the truth, you definitely have to tell it and I will tell it at all costs. But on the other hand, I have never said it and I will say it today and maybe my family will be hurt, for a long time I did not go to sleep at my parents' house, I had a kind of phobia and steppe inside me. It took me a long time to convince myself that yes, I can go and sleep there."
In the interview, she also decided to address the constant insinuations that have been made in the media and social networks, including the claim that the assassination was staged by her to seek political asylum in England, with the aim of "getting the papers":
"Should I explain this story once and for all? They told me this some time ago in the studio. I am married to an Albanian-British man, so he is a boy born in Albania, he was educated, he left Albania, he lived and now continues to live there [England] from time to time."
With a British passport, my daughters have a British passport and an Albanian passport, so I can take it and go there without any problems and it killed me at first when I heard it, but I say people understand the truth, I have told the truth with all my strength, and I think I live exactly in the modesty that a journalist deserves to live.
I've said it often and I'll use it because I really like this expression: 'Let them have cannons.' I don't care what anyone says anymore.”
