Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reached a divorce settlement, avoiding a trial that was set for December.
The former couple and their lawyers filed documents seeking approval of the terms they agreed to, including $200,000 a month in child support from Kanye.
A court declared the two legally single at Kardashian's request in March, ending their eight-year marriage, but property and custody issues remained unresolved.
After the latest settlement, the two will have joint custody. Kardashian and Ye will split equally the costs of the children's private security and private schools, including college.
The two had signed a prenuptial agreement and the properties are divided.
Kanye and Kim tied the knot in 2012 and became parents to their first daughter, North, in 2013. Kanye proposed the same year and they married in Florence in May 2014. They have four children together, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
This was the third marriage for Kardashian and the first marriage for the rapper. Their relationship was one of the most talked about in recent decades.
In June 2021, during an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", Kim Kardashian spoke openly about her divorce with Kanye West and all the challenges she faced for a long time. Among other things, she said that the main reason for the breakup was the distance between them and Kanye's frequent departures.
