
The legendary jazz singer has passed away at the age of 96. The news was confirmed by his publicist, Sylvia Weiner.

Tony passed away in New York and the specific cause is still unknown, but in 2016, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Bennett is known for his fantastic songs like "The Way You Look Tonight" and in his career he has sold millions of albums and won 20 Grammys. He has outstanding collaborations with Frank Sinatra, who has described him as "the best singer in the industry", Aretha Franklin and Lady Gaga.

Bennett was 10 years old when his father passed away, leaving the family in complete poverty. He began his career in music as a teenager and admired art in general. Tony joined the US Army in 1944, in World War II.

After returning home, his artistic career continued, initially under the moniker Joe Bari. Bennett soon became an icon and released his first album in 1952, winning the hearts of the people with hits such as: "Blue Velvet" and "Rags to Riches".
Four years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Tony performed the last show with Lady Gaga and then, expressed on social networks that "Life is a gift, even when you have Alzheimer's".
