Yesterday (December 19th) America chose its Miss for 2020 and the winner rejected all the myths that have historically been followed by girls who participate in such competitions. Miss America is a very lady scientist and confident!
Camille Schrier is a graduate of two science majors: biochemistry and biological systems. Currently, the most beautiful of the USA is working to complete her PhD in Pharmacy at Virginia Commoneealth University.
After the victory, she said she will use the new title for causes that concern society, such as narcotics, abuse prevention or education.
"Miss America is someone who needs to be educated," she said.
Schrier managed to win among the other 50 candidates, but still denied being more beautiful than them.
"I'm not the most beautiful. I'm just the ambassador of this organization and I'm more than just someone with a crown on my head."
This is the second year that Miss America's competition has changed. Girls don't have to show up in swimwear anymore and this is to change the concept of being a miss.
