The former spokesman of the Royal Palace, Murat Balla, has revealed details of the wealth sharing agreement between Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia.
The latter has benefited a business worth over 1 million euros, premises still under construction.
"Elia Zaharia has taken over a very big business, a business worth over 1 million euros. It is a new commercial environment that is being built in a new building. It has its own wealth. The prince also gives a monthly pension of 1,000 euros to the girl.
When they parted, the Prince kissed his daughter, said goodbye to Elias and took his clothes to live in another apartment. First alone and then with this girl. He did this because the situation was very difficult," he said.
He also gave details regarding the reasons for the divorce and apparently, according to him, the crisis between the ex-spouses started two years before the separation.
The division of wealth further deepened the conflicts between them, he revealed on the "Albania Live" show.
"It has been agreed that Mrs. Zaharia will get an apartment and a shop for business. She will have this apartment together with her daughter, until the day she gets married. But to live in the royal palace, it was not allowed as it is the property of the royal family. She lived in the building until the apartment was ready. This was the agreement of the former couple. When Zaharia marries someone else, the apartment is left to the girl, but Elia cannot live there in the eyes of the girl with someone else. Their separation started two years before that video. Many things did not work, and then conflicts arose because of economic interests. When something doesn't work, it's not judged because that's where the pain is, which led their relationship to tragedy.
Prince Leka, his ex-wife Elia Zaharia and the latter's father, Gjergj Zaharia, are accused of domestic violence after the video was made public.
