The ex-husband of Parashqevi Simaku, Robert Nolfe, has spoken for the first time about his son's relationship with the singer and not only.
In a direct link for the show "TopStory" with Grida Duma, he announced that Luka has spoken with his mother respecting the son's own wish. He emphasized that the son has always been concerned after the divorce between him and the singer.
As for the singer herself, he called her a lost treasure that has been found and emphasized that it is in his interest that she be well.
"Most of all these issues were dealt with during the divorce. It is in my best interest to see that she is well. I was so touched when I saw her smile with Elton. He is young now and since he was 10 years old, he has been thinking, so he talked to his mother today. I asked him if he was ready and he said yes. I have given a written statement to Elton, I just want the family to be reunited and she is the lost treasure that has been found. The ending is beautiful and this story will end beautifully. I've always appreciated him for the cultural icon he was. I have seen with my own eyes how important it has been for the Albanian people," he said.
As for the reasons for the divorce, he chose not to share too many details.
"She hadn't made the best choices with herself. I don't want to go into details..." he emphasized.
At the same time, he spoke about his marriage to Parashqevi Simaku, describing the latter as a sweet singer on stage, while emphasizing that off stage she lived in her own world.
"We were discussing the film, I have not been very passionate about festivals in Albania. She was discussed as a charming woman, as a sweet voice, as someone who performed. But not liberal, or was it liberal in its nature, but not because Parashqevia was very limited, he was a man who lived in his own world. It's not like she was acting off stage, but on stage she was sweet. But anyway, I am telling you that the media should have a long discussion of the communist regime, which today is called realism because we continue to lie. We must treat it as it was, we must analyze both history and politics, because we have been taught for 30 years only to be lied to and manipulated in our own eyes," he added.
