Eleni Foureira along with Conchita, Måns Zelmerlöw and Verka Serduchka performed on the final night of the Eurovision. During the performance, a MyHeritage chart presented Eleni as 68.9% from Greece and southern Italy.
MyHeritage (My Origin) - the sponsor of Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv - is an online genealogy platform that allows users to upload data to find their origins history. MyHeritage also has a DNA testing service, known as MyHeritage DNA.
Eleni underwent a DNA testing, resulting in 68.9% from Greece and Italy, 29.8% from the Balkans and 1.3% Jewish Ashkenazi (Jewish Diaspora population that joined the Holy Roman Empire at the end of the millennium first). After Eleni was informed about her origin, she reacted astonished.
