The Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi has decided to resign from all political functions in the Socialist Party. Such news was confirmed by Ruçi himself during his speech at the SP congress, on the day of the 30th anniversary of this party.
The Speaker of Parliament said that starting from September, which coincides with the beginning of the new legislature, he will not exercise the mandate of deputy in the district of Fier and no other political role.
"I will declare the end of this marathon, which like any marathon has a start and an end. There is no better way to say that in this 30th anniversary of the Socialist Party, there is no better way that today we have won this fair mandate, after a few months it turns 70 years old and I want to declare before you that on September 9th "The new legislature will not exercise the mandate given to me by the socialists and I will not have the ambition to be in any elected body of my family that has given me so much in these 30 years." - said Ruçi.
