Two of the most beautiful and authentic beaches of the Albanian Riviera, Grama Bay and Gjipe Bay, have been listed on the prestigious list of the 50 best beaches in Europe for 2025. This assessment is the result of a selection process that includes around 1,000 travel professionals, renowned beach “ambassadors” and a specialized international jury.
Grama Bay is ranked 12th, while Gjipe is ranked 30th, surpassing even some of the most famous destinations on the coasts of Spain, Italy, Greece or France, which have topped the preferences of visitors from all over the world for years.
This selection is made every year by " The world's 50 best beaches ", one of the most popular global platforms for ranking beaches, to which Forbes itself constantly refers.
To be listed on this list, beaches must meet several criteria that are mainly related to nature, tranquility and the overall experience they offer. The main criterion is that the beach is unique, with a landscape that stands out from the others, authentic, away from overcrowded areas, away from noise, untouched, ideal for strengthening the connection with nature and of course with impressive views. The professionals who vote for the beaches must make a convincing description that is then evaluated by beach ambassadors and international experts, who make the ranking based on the aforementioned criteria.
Grama Bay, which has become part of this prestigious list, is one of the pearls of the Ionian coast. Here the sea enters between the rocky massifs, creating a fantastic beach where crystal clear water with a unique combination of colors stands out. While Gjipesa Bay, on the other hand, is located at the entrance to a spectacular canyon, becoming a symbol of ecotourism and adventure in Albania. With access both from the coast and from the trail, this bay offers stunning views and an almost virgin nature, very little explored.
The inclusion of these two bays in this ranking proves once again that Albania is a country that offers invaluable natural values ??and is increasingly entering the list of elite Mediterranean destinations, thanks to its beautiful nature, ever-improving infrastructure, and ambitious projects.
