In the latest episode of "Goca dhe Gra", Bora Zemani was asked about the relationships between the moderators on screen and whether women support each other on television. Before Bora could answer, Rozana Radi intervened with a question that clearly seemed to refer to Arbana Osmani's famous statement: "Are there snakes and lizards?", Rozana said, laughing ironically.
"There is no more, no. [laughs] We are calm. In my circle there is none, it has been several years since I have worked with the same staff. It seems to me like a joke to describe colleagues or former colleagues in such a way. I work with a staff that I say I am lucky to have [...] Competition is healthy," said Bora.
Her statement can be read as a response, if not ironic, to Arbana Osmani's claim in October on "Mirembrëma Yje", when she spoke about the "toxic environment" of television:
"When I started the business, everyone told me, 'You were good on television. You'll see how fierce the business is, what the competition does to you.' Every time I remember it, I say: These people have no idea what goes on on television, snakes and lizards," Arbana said.
The contrast between the two statements is obvious: Arbana described television as a toxic, harsh and treacherous terrain, while Bora showed a completely different reality. Before the statement, Bora was asked by Ori Nebijaj: "Arbana or Ledioni?"
Bora answered without hesitation:
"As moderators of Big Brother? I have nothing to hide in this. In my tastes, for that performance on a television stage, for all the formation, the irony, the articulation, the joke, in my tastes it is always Ledioni. I enjoy Ledioni."
An honest answer, but one that will certainly spark discussion, especially since it comes in the same interview where Bora responded (albeit indirectly) to Arbana's statement about "snakes and lizards."
