The well-known Albanian ballerina, Enada Hoxha, has spoken for the first time about her divorce a few months ago from the dancer Gerd Vaso, in a very emotional interview for her.
Invited to Mira Kazan's podcast, "Zë me Miran", Enada started her confession by saying that her ex-husband, Gerd Vaso, "was and will be the man she loved forever", continuing with the statement:
"What I experience or the great love I experienced, it seems to me that it will never happen again, it will be there with me always."
Asked by Mira about the reason for the separation of the former couple, very beloved by the Albanian public, Enada said: "The reason is simply him and his choice. I rather than give her all my love without end, I had nothing else," implying that the decision to separate was unilateral and initiated by her ex-husband.
Furthermore, the ballerina continued to mention more than once during the interview that, during this difficult separation for her, she had to accept Gerdi's decision, in order to respect her dignity, saying:
"It is not worth feeling insulted and disrespected all the time. Everything has a limit. But I'm not the kind of person who can hold someone hard either."
Although Enada did not mention the concrete reason that made her feel disrespected by her ex-husband, the following statement implies that the latter's actions were a strong motive for her to accept their separation and say "no ” a future reunion:
"I think there are some things that cannot be forgiven, cannot be forgiven, with all the great love. I chose to respect myself and his choice."
In the interview, where Enada clearly did not hesitate to be vulnerable, expressing that she still felt love for Gerdi, she also appeared categorical in maintaining a friendship with him:
"It is too early to talk about a friendship with the choice that Gerdi has made. I don't think you can stay friends if it was a breakup that we don't get along with. […] If there is separation for bad reasons, which I don't need to tell, there is not much desire to be friends because the hurt is too great. Every face-off still has a very strong effect on me, even going [face-to-face] for me is very strong,” she concluded.
Enada Hoxha and Gerd Vaso were rumored to be divorcing in September of this year , a separation that ended their 27-year marriage. The former celebrity couple have known each other since they were both freshmen in high school and have a 17-year-old son together, named Roan.
