The series "Emily in Paris" celebrated its fifth season in a grand premiere in Paris.
Among the many comments about its success, during the premiere, the statement of French President Macron was not left without mentioning, on the latest developments that are expected to occur at the start of this season. The series, which has had Paris as its center since the beginning, from what was seen from the premiere in the first two episodes, seems to be taking the viewer to another country, Italy.
This development apparently did not go down well with French President Emmanuel Macron. After hearing about the series' potential move to the Italian capital, he promised to "fight hard" to keep filming in Paris.
During her exit, Emily joked about the friendly feud that arose between him and the mayor of Rome.
“I never expected that we would become part of a European political triangle,” she said with a laugh.
But Emily Collins, the lead actress of this series, assured viewers that the series will return to Paris later.
"Emily in Paris" was awarded the prestigious Legion of Honor by the President of France.
