Elon Musk during a recent interview with TED head Chris Anderson commented on and clarified people's criticisms about his billionaire status.
The Tesla leader was listed by Forbes as one of the richest people in the world, with a fortune of $ 300 billion, but according to Musk the status has nothing to do with his lifestyle.
"I do not really think much about it (I mean billions). The thing that is actually harder and that makes it harder to sleep is that every good hour - or even minute - of thinking about Tesla and "SpaceX has such a huge effect on the company," said Elon.
Anderson dwelled on the criticism that comes with Musk's fortune. Many people refer to such wealth as "unethical", while people can not even earn enough to provide food and housing.
"There are many people out there who can not conceive of this world of billionaires. They are very offended by this notion, that a single individual has the same wealth that billions or more poor have together." expresses the interviewer.
"This is philanthropy for me. SpaceX is trying to ensure the long-term survival of humanity. This is a love for humanity. Neuralink is trying to help brain damage and existential risks. Love for humanity again," Musk continued, assuring us that living his has nothing to do with that of a billionaire.
