Jonah Hill. Yes, you read that right. The 41-year-old actor is almost unrecognizable while filming his new film "Cut Off," where in addition to starring, he is also the author and director of the project.
In photos released from the set in Los Angeles, Hill appears with a completely new look: blonde hair, a tight leopard-print turtleneck, low-waisted jeans with long black fringes and a belt that accentuates her noticeably slimmer waist. Actress Kristen Wiig is seen alongside him, wearing an equally daring combination: a purple lace top, emerald bra and a pink skirt with a black belt, a style inspired by the '70s.
Hill's new look has surprised fans, as the transformation is remarkable. The actor, known for his roles in films such as "Superbad," "21 Jump Street" and "The Wolf of Wall Street," has previously revealed that his weight has always been a personal battle. He has spoken openly about how comments about his physical appearance have affected his self-esteem.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2018, Hill confessed:
"I spent most of my youth hearing people say I was ugly and fat. It was painful, but it taught me to love myself."
He first lost weight significantly in 2011, after losing about 18 kilograms thanks to a Japanese diet and the advice of a nutritionist. Then, the weight came back for a few years, but in the last decade he has managed to keep his body in shape and today looks thinner than ever before.
While filming “Cut Off,” Hill was seen moving between scenes with coffee cups in one hand and the film script in the other, while preparing for each scene carefully. The new project is expected to be a comedy with absurd elements, where the actor will play an eccentric character who gets involved in a strange situation after a breakup.
If Jonah Hill was once known for his comedic roles as the "fat" guy, today he is showing a completely different version of himself: more mature, more confident, and totally indistinguishable.
