Mediaset and MFE (MediaForEurope), the parent company, have filed a civil lawsuit against Fabrizio Corona, seeking damages worth 160 million euros.
The lawsuit is related to statements made by Corona in recent weeks on his online program "Falsissimo", where he spoke about the so-called "Signorini system" and made accusations against key figures in the Mediaset group. The case began in December 2025 on YouTube and has now gone to court, amid civil lawsuits and cross-claims.

According to Mediaset, the content distributed by Falsissimo constitutes “a series of lies, untruths and accusations without any basis”, accompanied by “unacceptable verbal violence” and a lack of respect for the people involved and their families. For this reason, the injured parties, together with Mediaset and MFE, have decided to take civil action for reputational and financial damages against Corona.
Sources close to Mediaset reveal that among the people considered damaged are Pier Silvio Berlusconi, Marina Berlusconi, Maria De Filippi, Silvia Toffanin, Gerry Scotti, Samira Lui and Ilary Blasi.

The Mediaset statement also emphasizes that this is not a rumor on Corona's part, but an organized and systematic mechanism in which lies are transformed into a means of profit. According to the company, Corona would benefit from thousands of euros every week from what is defined as a genuine hate campaign on the Internet.
Mediaset and MFE have also announced that any amount that may be recognized by the court as compensation will be used to create a fund in support of victims of stalking, criminal offenses included in the so-called "Red Code", as well as the phenomena of cyberbullying.

Just hours before the release of the statement, Fabrizio Corona declared his intention to sue Mediaset for attempted blackmail, through his lawyer Ivano Chiesa. Sources close to the Mediaset group had mentioned the possibility of a counterclaim for defamation. With the civil lawsuit of 160 million euros, the escalation of the legal conflict is now official.
