In Serbia, a competition for the longest kisses takes place every year to mark Valentine's Day. The "Kiss Me" competition is part of a festival in the city of Vrnjacka Banja, which is about romance, music and food. Locals claim that the Love Bridge in the city is the oldest love bridge in the world dating back to the First World War.
The winners of the 2020 kissing contest, Irena and Djordje Boric, set a new record of 112 minutes. They have won the competition five times in a row.
Since the beginning of 1996, Trang province in Thailand was known all over the world for the famous underwater weddings, which are organized on the most romantic day of the year. In 2000, the Trang Underwater Wedding was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest underwater wedding in the world.
Only qualified divers are allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple is given a waterproof marriage certificate.
