G Bani has been excluded from the "Month of Exile" festival to be held in Drenas. The reason for this was a statement he made on TikTok, where the singer said:
"If I knew that (Kosovo Albanians) are so racist towards me, I wouldn't have felt it even in '99."
This sentence sparked numerous reactions in the public, with many commentators condemning his statement. As a result, the organizers of the "Month of Exile" festival announced that G Bani's performance will be canceled.
Through an official statement, the organizers considered the language used by the artist as "unacceptable, offensive and unethical", emphasizing that there is no place for such attitudes at an event that aims for unity and respect among Albanians wherever they are.
The statement underlines that "Month of the Diaspora" is a celebration that promotes the values of respect, love for culture, and inclusion, and any act that contradicts these principles is not tolerated.
Following this decision, G Bani clarified that his statement was directed only at followers who had offended him personally, and not at the citizens of Kosovo as a whole.
