In a candid video , screenwriter and producer Dalina Buzi shared with followers a clear overview of the fate of the $NOB series, which immediately became a beloved phenomenon for the public.
Dalina thanked everyone who has watched, liked and supported $NOB since its first broadcast on Top Channel, then on the snob.al platform and now on YouTube. She emphasized that behind the series lies a great deal of work and an extraordinary effort to maintain quality and artistic integrity – one of the reasons why the audience did not feel any unnecessary advertising or interference while watching.
According to her, the effort to keep the series authentic has brought major financial challenges. She pointed out that in Albania, unlike international practices, television stations do not pay for the broadcast of series, which makes it very difficult to economically support such projects.
“You have to understand that we do some quality things because we want to do them. I want to grow, I want to learn as a screenwriter, I want to do my best. All this sacrifice is difficult to translate into money. And I'm not saying money for me to earn, but money for us to cover our expenses and do something very good.[…] Therefore, all this suffering – so, sponsors not coming, people not paying, Albanian being a difficult language to get on Netflix – does not translate into money. You start to get tired.”
The good news? The second season of $NOB is written! Dalina revealed that the first draft is ready and that the new story is "absolutely brilliant." However, to realize it properly, the project requires a budget of around 600,000 euros - a considerable amount for an Albanian series, but relatively low by international standards.
The screenwriter said she doesn't want to give up, but financial difficulties and lack of support make the path very difficult.
"I don't want to give up on life, but I'm making this video so you can understand. If I were the failure who didn't try, there would have been many more series of this quality, with this attention to detail until the end, with so few mentions of advertising. They haven't been made. And the ones that have been made, aren't being made anymore. They're closed because it's difficult."
However, she hopes that public support can make a difference.
"Maybe you'll do something good, so that if you want to spread it and make a noise, and it'll be easier for us. At the moment, I have a second season that's absolutely brilliant. I haven't stopped myself from anything, so it's even more expensive. Thank you very much for the support."
So, will there be a second season? The answer is: Yes, the script exists, but its realization depends on the support the series can receive at this important stage.

$NOB, the first teen-drama series in Albania, co-produced by Anabel Entertainment and Nilor Film, centers on a fictional story, but based on events of Albanian reality of the last decade - a story of some twenty-somethings of this era, who realize that they are not yet in control of their destiny, but are the consequence of a series of damaging decisions made by their families.
