"Future deception is a manipulation tactic often used by individuals with narcissistic tendencies to shift attention from the present moment to the future so that they maintain control over the relationship and avoid taking responsibility for their own actions. When you invest in a relationship, it's natural to focus on the good qualities of your partner and live with hope for the future. The problem is that this situation can create a lack of stability that becomes unhealthy if left untreated.
