A demisexual is a person who is sexually attracted only after having a very strong emotional connection with the other person.
To put it briefly and clearly, this category includes all those who do not want to have sex with people who do not offer them an emotional connection. So, casual or "one night" sex is not on the list of demisexuals, because they need time to create a feeling and an emotional connection with someone.
As a term, this belongs on the spectrum of asexuality. For these people, sex must be very intimate and emotional, as well as the person with whom they share the act must be very important to them.
According to a study conducted in 2015 by the "AVEN Community Census of Demisexuals and Asexuals", 2/3 of those who identify as demisexuals said they have no interest in sex in general.
