When it comes to her age, Edna Giordano says most people in the gym and elsewhere can't fathom the fact that she's 91 years old. When people later learn his true age, they seek to help him.
"They want to help me, but I don't want a lot of help," says Edna, who will turn 92 in February. "It's funny to say this, but I'm so independent that I usually do everything for myself and I like that feeling."
Although not on social media herself, Edna has built a following on Instagram thanks to her daughter Dalyce Radke, a personal fitness trainer, who has more than 520,000 followers.
As a fitness trainer, she says it's the little things her mother does every day that allow her to live each day well even though she's in her 90s.
In addition to not overdoing it when it comes to food, Dalyce says her mom always uses the stairs, is active throughout the day, works to keep her mind sharp and does activities she enjoys that help with movement, like gardening, hiking etc.
Edna says she rarely thinks about her age and is surprised when people point this detail out to her.

"I don't think it's extraordinary and that's why I'm surprised when people point it out to me. I say it's normal," Giordano said.
"The best gift you can give yourself is your health and the fact that you can move, you have the opportunity to do all the things you want," concludes the 91-year-old.
