"Dark Triad" or "Dark Triad", as it would be in Albanian, is a term you have probably not heard before, as it is a word "created" by the world of psychology. It refers to three distinct but interrelated traits of human personality: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy.
- Narcizmi
The word comes from the Greek myth of Narcissus, a hunter who fell in love with his reflection in the water and drowned. Narcissistic people can be selfish, arrogant and not at all empathetic. For more about narcissism, read here.
- Machiavellianism
The term is named after the famous 16th-century Italian politician and diplomat Niccolo Machiavelli. His 1513 book, The Prince, was interpreted as an endorsement of the dark arts of cunning and deception in diplomacy. Traits associated with Machiavellianism include manipulation, self-interest, lack of emotion, and morality.
Psychopathy
Psychopathy-related personality traits include lack of empathy and sense of remorse, antisocial behavior, and being manipulative and unstable. It is important to note that there is a difference between having certain psychopathic traits and being a psychopath.
Psychologists have identified the features of this triangle by measuring separately, different personality types.

An individual would be rated, for example, 1 to 7 for each of the 12 tests, having a potential score of 12 to 84. The higher the score, the higher the probability of having a tendency towards The "dark triangle".
