In a statement to the media on postponing discussions on opening negotiations on the country's future in the European Union, Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj also touched on the case of 11-year-old Alvin Berisha.
"We are maximally engaged and working with all our partners, but keep in mind that it is a very sensitive issue and I cannot communicate on this occasion," he said.
"I seek understanding and call for this case not to be misused that this case goes far beyond diplomacy, that if it were for diplomacy all states would have returned their people from there. Therefore, we must understand. it is resolved in close coordination with the strategic partners. I must maximally maintain confidentiality in this case, "the minister concluded.
