In 2014, Gucci's artistic director at that time, Frida Giannini, collaborated with makeup artist Pat McGrath to bring for the first time a line of cosmetic products: lipstick, powder, blush and eye palette. Gucci Beauty was forgotten for several years, while recently artistic director Alessandro Michelle returned again through a lipstick collection.
The collection is made up of 58 colors divided into different categories depending on the brightness and the aroma. Once the campaign was launched, people had different feelings. As you can see, Gucci has used "crude" beauty, brought in a slightly different way. "The idea of the campaign is a representation as close to reality as human as strange," Michelle said at a press conference. "But even the odd is human, beautiful."
Realized photos are straightforward, somewhat "dry", far from splendor, but all-encompassing. For example, Dani Miller, the punk band singer Surfbort, poses by highlighting her characteristic teeth.

Some followers were disappointed with the selected photos, ironing out that "they would rather spend money on the dentist than with lipsticks." "Is not it any more fun to go to the dentist?"
Of course the rest responded by commending Gucci for the extraordinary way to introduce the new collection. "I prefer to see this ad, far from the perfect and white teeth we see everywhere," writes someone. "After these photos, I feel my teeth are ok," writes another.
Most appreciate the luxurious brand of "breaking taboos and redefining beauty". "I agree 100% with these images. Finally in 2019, I see such images. "
