Meriton Mjekiqi and his brother Rinor Mjekiqi have been arrested by the Kosovo Police and have been in police custody for 48 hours.
The news was initially reported by exclusive sources for "Sinjali", who informed that the arrest took place yesterday, July 22, 2025, at the Obiliq Police Station, where the two brothers voluntarily presented themselves and were interviewed in the presence of their lawyers.
According to information published by Klan Kosova when it was announced that the Mjekiqi brothers were under investigation, the case is related to a physical altercation that occurred on July 11, in which the victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered serious bodily injuries.
Sources for "Pamphlet" indicated at the time that Meriton was outside of Kosovo and Albania and that he had not been aware that he was wanted by the authorities. The moment he heard the news, he had stated that he would present himself before the authorities, a word he seems to have kept.
