Squid Game actor Oh Young-soo has been found guilty of sexual harassment , ending his trial in South Korea. The star of the Netflix series who played the role of the "old man" in "Squid Game" has been found guilty, being sentenced to 8 months of probation and 40 hours of sexual violence classes.
The 79-year-old actor touched a woman's body against her will. The incident occurred in 2017 and the victim reported the incident to the police in December 2021. The case was closed in April and reopened at the victim's request.
The verdict was announced at the Seongnam court and for this charge, the actor could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. Previously, the star of "Squid Game" denied the accusation and said that he had held the victim's hand to accompany him on a walk along the lake. He added that he apologized to the woman.
