The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, during a communication with journalists today, spoke about the pandemic and the measures taken so far, and responded to rumors of a second blockade / isolation, even partial.
"Nothing is out of the question. The increase in numbers was projected. We have a strategy for fall-winter. Manastirliu has spoken every day about the great danger of the second wave, as a result of the easy taking of the confrontation after an intermediate stage was passed, where things seemed to be moving towards a normalcy. "We are doing everything and nowhere else, no one is doing more," he said.
Rama stressed that the number of tests published every day is only that of tests done in public institutions. He said that the tests that are done in private, are counted only if they are positive.
The Prime Minister also added:
"We do not have fast tests, not that we could not find them, but it was seen as reasonable to be tested only by PCR. Rapid tests will be in the process soon. "
