Family members and all other close contacts of a person infected with Covid-19, are more predisposed to be positive. A test for Covidin in such cases is necessary, but this does not mean that if you do not test positive, you should not be protected. Here are some ways to protect yourself and others.
1 - Limit contact
The person with Covid-19 should stay away from others at home. If possible, the infected person should use a separate bedroom and bathroom. All family members should stay at least 6 feet away from him.
2 - Open the windows
To improve the ventilation of the space where you live, keep the windows open as much as possible.
3 - Keep the mask
Wearing a mask does not guarantee 100% protection against infection with Covid, but it can reduce your chances of becoming infected. Surgical masks are effective as they also provide protection for the person wearing it.
4 - Wash your hands and disinfect surfaces
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being near a sick person. Avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Disinfect surfaces that are most often affected, such as tables, gloves, keys, toilets, sinks, electronic appliances, etc.
