Elon Musk has openly criticized US President Donald Trump's tax and spending bill, calling it "disgraceful and disgusting."

Liberal opposition leader Lee Jae-myung has been elected president of South Korea, after a tense campaign and months of political turmoil that culminated in the temporary imposition of martial law by former conservative president Yoon Suk Yeol.

With over 99% of the votes counted, Lee won with 49.3%, while conservative candidate Kim Moon Soo received 41.3%. Turnout in the election was around 80%, one of the highest ever in the country's history.
