Turkey: Opposition members arrested on suspicion of corruption

Turkish police have arrested four members of the Republican People's Party and mayors of three different districts in Istanbul. In total, 30 people were arrested on suspicion of corruption.

Their arrest comes after the mayor and Erdogan's rival, Ekrem Imamoglu, was also charged and arrested. At the time, the incident sparked widespread protests, with people demanding the mayor's release and a more democratic approach in the country.

Gaza: Dozens of people killed while seeking aid

Canary Islands: 7 migrants lose their lives

Seven migrants from West Africa, including children, died after their boat capsized off the coast of Spain's Canary Islands. Two 5-year-old girls and a 16-year-old boy were among the victims of the tragedy, emergency services said.
