Tuna Sejdi recently returned to the screen with a candid interview for "The Dalina Show" , where she spoke, among other things, about one of the most talked about topics over the years - her relationship with Nora Istrefi. The singer explained that, contrary to what has often been rumored in the media, there has never been a conflict between her and Nora.
"There has never been [a conflict with Nora]. These have been media misinterpretations. These have probably also been indications to give a wrong image [of me] by people who have attacked my career over the years, because my name is news bait and often these people have tried to catch me in my moment, to deny the situation, to slander. Many times I have refrained. I have promised myself one thing: I will not leave anything archived for my sons, because I will leave it to time," said Tuna.
Asked about her current relationship with Nora, especially now that they are both single mothers , Tuna indicated that their communication has improved significantly:
"I believe this is the point where we have started a much more familiar, much different communication. We have never had any scandals, any disagreements, any fights."
Furthermore, Tuna emphasized that the children are another bridge between them. Her sons, Tian and Zen, spend a lot of time with Renee, the daughter of Nora and Robert Berisha.
How did the myth of the Tuna–Nora conflict arise?
For those who need a summary: The alleged history of clashes between Tuna and Nora dates back to around 2018. At the time, the pair, who had once been friends, found themselves in the spotlight after family dramas with the Berisha brothers. Tuna was married to Patris Berisha – the brother of Nora's ex-husband, Robert – and suddenly the two friends became sisters-in-law with strained relations.
The issue began to be discussed publicly when Robert Berisha openly declared on TV that he (and consequently Nora) did not speak to Tuna. Asked on the show “Rudina” if they met with her, Robert replied emphatically: “Not with Tuna and I don’t want to meet anymore!” He even went further, accusing Tuna of “having problems with everyone… only she is okay.” These strong words at the time sealed the idea that there was a serious rift between Tuna and the Berisha family (which included Nora).
On the other hand, Nora herself tried to lower the "flame" of the conflict publicly. In 2019, invited to "Xing me Ermalin", she diplomatically stated that she respected Tuna as an artist and had no personal problem with her.
After all that happened, few could have predicted the course of events in the following years. The period 2018-2020 marked a period of great personal changes for both artists. Nora and Robert Berisha ended their marriage, while Tuna and Patrisi also finally separated. Being a single mother probably helped strengthen their relationship, which, as Tuna pointed out on "The Dalina Show" , had never been problematic.
Recently, the friends and former sisters-in-law brought out another collaboration, the song "My Love".
