Famous actor Richard Gere has shared a family photo on Instagram for the first time, featuring him with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two sons, Alexander, 6, and James, 5.

The four were photographed dressed alike, to support an important humanitarian cause, the non-profit organization "Open Arms", which provides aid to people in need.

Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva married in 2018, in a private ceremony in New York. The couple has a 33-year age difference, but this, according to them, has not been an obstacle to their relationship.

This is the third marriage for the 76-year-old actor, who was previously married to model Cindy Crawford and then to Carey Lowell, with whom he has another son, Homer, 23. On the other hand, Alejandra, who is an activist and former publicist, also has another son, Albert, 10, from a previous relationship.

Earlier, the actor confessed that when he first met his wife, she knew him.

“He had no idea who I was,” the actor joked. “He didn’t watch movies, and that was something I really enjoyed. It was really nice.”

But his wife intervened, clarifying:

“Half a minute, Richard! I remembered who you were.”

She admitted, however, that she had not seen many of his films.

Gere didn't hold back on the jokes, adding:

“He thought I was George Clooney.”
