It's time to bring the flowers out of the closet again (no, not for spring) because “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is officially on the horizon! After nearly two decades since the iconic 2006 film, the sequel will land in theaters on May 1, 2026, and fans can barely contain themselves!
Although the legendary cast is still missing a final signature, rumors say that Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci could return for another tour of the world of fashion, intrigue and scary office reprimands.
According to Variety, the show will follow Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) as she navigates the traditional publishing crisis while also encountering a new rivalry — this time with her former assistant (Emily Blunt), who is now a luxury industry superpower and controls the advertising budgets Miranda desperately wants. Sounds exciting, right?
Although Anne Hathaway has expressed skepticism about a sequel in several interviews, Emily Blunt has hinted that "there's something cooking," while Stanley Tucci is more direct: "I'd be happy if it happened."
The film will also bring back producer Wendy Finerman and director David Frankel, while the script is once again taken over by Aline Brosh McKenna – the same one who brought the first film to life. With such a trio behind the cameras, we expect refined grit, tasteful drama and, of course, outfits that will make us rethink everything in our wardrobe.
