Sean "Diddy" Combs has broken his silence during his ongoing criminal trial. The rapper and producer—who has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, rape, conspiracy to commit murder, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution—addressed the crowd in a New York courtroom on May 20, saying:
"I love you all."
Then, according to People, he added in a low voice: "Yes! Love!" After expressing his love, he addressed a woman in the courtroom, asking her to relay a message to his 31-year-old son: "Please tell Justin I'm thinking of him."
When we all thought he would react to some evidence, or insist that he is innocent, the music industry icon chose to have a warmer approach to those present at the trial.
Diddy has expressed his love before in court, albeit with gestures. During the May 13 hearing, the Bad Boy Records founder created a heart with his hands, according to sketches released during the trial.
Diddy has yet to give his testimony, but other people have given shocking testimonies about their experiences with P.Diddy.
One of the key witnesses in the trial, Cassie Ventura, Diddy's ex-girlfriend, has testified that she attended "freak-offs," sex parties that included gigolos. The singer said she was forced to "perform" even when she was menstruating or suffering from painful urinary tract infections, claiming that Diddy threatened to release explicit footage of the parties.
Cassie and Diddy were in a relationship for 11 years. She finally split from the rapper in 2018. "I always thought he would hurt me," she said in one of her testimonies.
