Tory Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the leg and was found guilty by the court. Earlier this month, he was stabbed 14 times in the face, torso and back in prison where he is serving his sentence. Because of the incident, his case has once again been put in the spotlight, and rapper Drake (as well as others) are demanding that the rapper be pardoned and released.

Alex Spiro, Megan Thee Stallion's lawyer, was forced to reject claims that the trial against Lanez is unfair, that the rapper is innocent and Megan herself has made a public statement.

"At what point will you stop making me relive the fact that I was shot by Tory? At what point will Tory and your fans stop lying?" Megan asked, continuing that the same event comes back to her every day.

"I'm tired of all this. Leave me alone! He didn't even get up to deny that he shot me and that was his choice, because I know he did that!" said the rapper, adding that she doesn't understand how people are so angry with the person who was shot.

"Facts are facts. He did it, it was proven in court! Tory, you shot me! There is no new evidence. You are saying the same bullshit you have been saying for years. Tory, please leave me alone," the rapper's statement continues, in which her ex is described as a "demon."

Megan Thee Stallion testified in the 2022 trial of Tory Lanez, where the Canadian rapper was found guilty of aggravated assault with a semi-automatic weapon; carrying an unregistered weapon in a vehicle; and reckless use of a weapon. As Megan noted in her statement, Lanez chose not to testify in court — a decision she reportedly regrets.

Prior to her testimony, Megan wrote an op-ed for the New York Times about the situation and spoke about the incident in an interview with Gayle King. Megan also expressed her outrage in her lyrics toward Drake, who has been demanding his release since Lanez was convicted, even accusing the singer of lying about the foot-stab story.
