Usher was named in the famous P.Diddy lawsuit. According to Dawn Richards, who has accused Sean Diddy Combs of sexual assault, Usher was present when Diddy punched his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. Richards said that other people were also present during the altercation.
Richard testified on May 16 in court, claiming that Combs attacked Cassie at a restaurant in 2010. The incident occurred at the restaurant, where Diddy and Cassie were arguing, when the rapper punched the singer in the stomach.
"She immediately bowed down and he [Combs] told her to leave," Richard testified. "No one intervened."
The dinner party was allegedly attended by Usher, Ne-Yo and "other celebrities" that Richard did not name. After they left the restaurant, Richard was in the car with the couple when Cassie told Diddy that she felt "embarrassed" and that he could not behave like that in public.
"He grabbed her by the throat and hit her, shot her in the mouth," Richard testified, adding that Combs then told Cassie to shut up.
"Diddy was telling her he owned her. I told her she had to leave. Cassie looked really scared. She was listening, but I could see she was scared."
Cassie, on the other hand, has been testifying in court for several days. She is considered a key witness in the ongoing blackmail, rape and sex trafficking trial against Diddy, while the rapper strongly denies the allegations.
