Luiz Ejlli has been declared innocent by the Court of Appeal in Tirana on the issue of forging a notarial deed and justifying an amount of 210 thousand euros. The Tirana Court accepted the lawyers' appeal and thus, the decision of the First Instance Court in Fier, which sentenced Luiz Ejlli to one year in prison, was changed.
Luiz Ejlli was convicted of forging documents to justify the illegal source of wealth. At that time, the singer, through the notary's seal, forged documentation to justify the illegal source of wealth, which supposedly stemmed from a suspected criminal activity. Luiz was accused of the criminal offense of "Forgery of Documents", together with a citizen with the initials FA
According to the investigation, in the notarial records of 2015, there was another declaration with the same repertoire number, but with different parties, thus proving the forgery.
"The notarial declaration drafted by the defendant LE was falsified in its content, but bore the latter's signature. It was proven that, with the same date, repertoire and collection number that this notarial declaration bore, in the register of the former notary LE and in the archive of notarial acts drafted by him, in 2015, there exists a notarial declaration with different parties," the prosecution's statement states.
