Analysts warn that this move is likely to affect the US auto industry, as American manufacturers also source vehicle parts from around the world, meaning they could face higher costs and lower sales.

NATO chief calls: "Europe must not walk apart from the US"
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called on the United States and Europe to avoid the temptation to divide themselves from each other amid global challenges.
He stressed that the US and Europe must stand together, a statement that comes amid growing tensions over the future of the transatlantic alliance and differing views on Russia from those of the US.
"Let me be absolutely clear, this is not the time to go it alone. Not for Europe or North America. The global security challenges are too big for any of us to face on our own. When it comes to keeping Europe and North America safe, there is no alternative to NATO," Rutte said.
