Some of the reasons why you may have vaginal burning after sex

Vaginal burning after sex can be caused by a variety of reasons. The most common causes include urinary tract infections, allergic reactions to lubricants or condoms, and high skin sensitivity.

Here are some of the main factors that can cause vaginal burning after sex:

1. It could be a result of sex toys

Their material is what can cause skin irritation, while another reason could be their hygiene. Maybe you're not washing them properly and try using soaps or lotions that don't contain any fragrance.

2. Consequence of laundry detergents

Enzymes, ingredients, fragrances, and all other chemicals can directly cause an allergic reaction, burning, or itching.

3. It could be your underwear

The material of the underwear is another factor that affects vaginal burning. Not only are certain materials uncomfortable and skin-unfriendly, but they can also cause bacteria to build up and grow.

4. Consequence of stress

Stress affects many body functions, including hormones and, as a result, vaginal dryness. When you have sex without the necessary lubrication, this dryness can cause a burning sensation in the vagina.

5. It could be from tampons

If you don't insert it properly or insert it too deeply, you may experience a vaginal burning sensation.

6. Be careful with the products you are using

No soap in the vagina! Be careful with the lotions you use as your pH needs balance.

7. Protective equipment or lubricants

Especially if your skin is sensitive.

8. Sperm

It happens rarely, but even semen can cause allergies in your vagina, so if this is the case, be sure to take precautions.

9. Hormonal changes

Especially during menopause, estrogen levels begin to decrease, and one of the consequences is vaginal dryness. Medication, regular sexual activity, and vaginal stimulation can help solve this problem.
