Rihanna has recently reacted to the use of a version of her voice created by Artificial Intelligence.
The singer commented on a video titled "Rihanna's Most Expensive Purchases" by @thescrolltv, which featured what appeared to be Rihanna's voice talking about the most expensive things she owns, in the form of a brag - but in fact the voice was completely generated by Artificial Intelligence.

"Who the hell is talking there??!" Rihanna said. The Instagram account even pinned her first comment on the video.
The video uses a clip from a press conference for Rihanna's 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show, making it seem like she's answering questions about her expensive life purchases instead of her performance at the show.
"From a $13.8 million Beverly Hills mansion with a stunning bathroom and view, to a $1 million crystal-adorned piano from Bösendorfer, Rihanna knows how to live in style," reads the caption of the page that shared the video.
This is not the first time a celebrity has called for the use of artificial intelligence that uses their image and voice to manipulate content.
In August 2024, Tom Hanks warned fans to "not be fooled" after discovering that there were "numerous advertisements online misusing his name, likeness, and voice promoting miracle cures and miracle drugs."
"These ads were created without my consent, fraudulently, and through Artificial Intelligence," Hanks continued. "I have no affiliation with these posts or the products and treatments, or the spokespersons promoting these cures."
In November 2023, Scarlett Johansson sent a letter requesting her resignation to Lisa, an Artificial Intelligence app that used the Marvel star's image and voice for an advertisement.
