Lily Collins is officially a mother: the "Emily in Paris" star has welcomed her first child.
The news was announced by the actress and her husband Charlie McDowell through a statement posted on Instagram.
"Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell," the couple wrote. "Words will never express our endless gratitude to the incredible surrogate mother and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you so much."

The words were accompanied by a photo of the couple's little girl, Tove, wrapped in a blanket bearing her name.
Famous family friends were quick to share their congratulations in the comments.
However, not all comments were positive, with some social media users criticizing the couple's decision to have a child through a surrogate mother - comments which Charlie quickly shut down, with a heartfelt comment of his own.
"Thank you for all the kind messages and love. We are so happy and so grateful. As for the inappropriate messages about surrogacy and our path to having a child – it's okay to not be an expert on surrogacy," he wrote.
"It's okay not to know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It's okay not to know the motives of a surrogate mother no matter what you assume. And it's okay to spend less time spreading hate speech in the world, especially about a beautiful girl who has brought so much love into people's lives, that's all for now, because she just came out and I have to change her diaper," he concluded with humor.
