As we "navigate" as usual on social networks and mainly TikTok, we have noticed a nostalgia that seems to have gripped regular followers of "Big Brother VIP". Many of us the algorithm shows us episodes from "BBVA 2" and when we mention this edition, Luiz immediately comes to mind. So, we can say that once again the residents of this edition have not been able to overcome the impact that this character has left.
But why are viewers returning to Luiz this season? We believe there are several factors. Let's list them below.
Lack of humor
It must be said that in the last editions of "BBVA" there have been no games, no songs, no joy, no friendships. Usually, as in the nights of the spectacles, even during the whole week, there are few moments that really produce humor. It seems that there is no chemistry between the residents to make jokes or "throw and wait" irony, something that Luizi mastered. If we search on social networks, the only things to laugh at are memes from moments of debates, Xumi's facial expressions or Jozi's exploits, but by no means organic humor.
The first edition had jokes between Ilir and Donald, humorous situations with Monica, pleasant expressions from Beniada, pranks from Donald for other residents, etc. On the other hand, Luiz, both with his opponents in the game (Olta), as well as with his friends, created comical situations that were the main theme of that edition. So, in other words, in the last two editions, organic humor and funny moments with each other have been missing, being replaced by endless quarrels and a general negativity.
Lack of leaders
In the first two editions, it was determined from the very beginning who would play with whom: Ilir vs. Donald, Luiz vs. Olta. The creation of two clear and inseparable poles necessarily brought dynamics and the "fight" was done to gather people around, which further brought comical situations, friendships and a precise line of the entire format's progress.
In these last two editions, there have been no “head-to-head” competitors, as there have been more than two leaders or, more precisely, leaders in the making. That said, the “fight” has focused on debates and arguments to steal the show, where space has been limited due to the many protagonists. Consequently, no one has had the “luxury” or comfort of being the leader and thinking beyond the arguments. At the moment when residents are under the tension of not being the protagonist, they find it difficult to think about games, fun or friendship. This last element brings it all. Friendships produce fans, joyful moments that only the euphoria of the group brings, and a kind of relaxation that would undoubtedly be transmitted to the audience.
So if Luiz had Kiara, Efi, Tani, Maestro, with whom hilarious situations were organically created, these two editions have not. We think the reason is simple: No one has been able to overcome the feeling of inferiority for protagonism and consequently no one has been "in the mood" for situations that the audience loves so much, but come naturally.
Residents are legible
Many think that Luiz gave an extraordinary spectacle in his stay at "BBVA" and the residents who enter the house seem to think the same. Their game is read from the first week, as it seems that, directly or indirectly, they have adopted behaviors that bear the "stamp" of Luiz. We recall here the expressions "you're on the road", "I'll turn off the lights" and even the strategy (repeated so much in the last edition) to go to the toilet.
The public appreciates originality in the game and above all the identity and novelty that new arrivals bring. No one wants to see someone imitating someone else and the result being annoying.
We often say that many residents there think they are making a "name" outside with their own script, adopting Luiz's game and identity, when in reality the public has been reading and selecting them since the first days of their stay there.
