Homes of Hollywood stars are destroyed by fires in Los Angeles

Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Anna Faris and other celebrities lost their homes as a result of the massive fires that engulfed Los Angeles.

More than a thousand homes, businesses and other buildings have been destroyed by fires across the Los Angeles region, while a state of emergency has been declared.

Hollywood events such as the premiere of Wolf Man and The Pitt were canceled and production on shows such as Fallout, Hacks, Grey's Anatomy, Suits: LA and others were halted as a result of the the situation.

Homes of Hollywood stars that burned down

Actor James Woods broke down in tears in an interview with CNN after his Pacific Palisades home burned down.

"One day you're swimming in the pool and the next day it's all gone," Woods said in the interview. "There was so much chaos, it was like hell. Every house was on fire around us.”

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester's Pacific Palisades home also burned, TMZ reported, as did Anna Faris' home. Oscar-nominated singer Diane Warren posted on Instagram that her beach house of nearly 30 years was gutted by fire.

"There is a rainbow shining on it, which I am taking as a sign of hope for all creatures affected by this tragedy," she wrote. "The farm animals are fine, that's the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”

Hollywood stars such as Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their homes in addition to Pratt's parents' home.

"The only positive sign I saw when our house burned down was our sons bed burned into the shape of a heart," Pratt wrote. "A sign of how much love was in this home so grateful for all the years and memories there with our family."

All My Children and General Hospital star Cameron Mathison wrote:

"We are confident. But this is what is left of our beautiful home. Our home where our children grew up and where they wanted to raise their own children one day. Thanks to everyone who reached out and took an interest. I can't reply to everyone so I wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to all those affected by these fires.”

Paris Hilton's Malibu home also burned down, TMZ reported.

Paris Hilton wrote in "X" a message to support those who are fighting the fires of Los Angeles.

She wrote: "Praying for LA/California right now."
