Sophie Turner has opened up about her much talked about divorce from singer Joe Jonas. The "Game of Thrones" star recently did not spare the comments about the end of her four-year marriage and the battle for the custody of the girls.

"I'm going through a legal process right now where I can't say much, but it was very sad," the actress said in an interview. "We had a beautiful relationship, but it was difficult," she continued.

Turner, who previously discussed feeling like a "plus-one" in her marriage, now lives in London.

"I'm very happy to be back," she said. "It felt like my life was on pause until I got back to England. I never feel like myself when I'm not in London with my friends and family. I was away for so long, six years,” the actress confessed.

Turner explained that she missed out on some precious moments at home and that, in turn, some of her friends didn't get to witness her first pregnancy. The mother of two recalled being at a recent dinner with a friend who said: "I've never been able to touch your round belly."

Turner and Jonas married in 2019, just months after the series "Game of Thrones" made him a star in the world of Hollywood. The former couple welcomed their first child the following year, and then another daughter in 2022. Jonas filed for divorce in Florida the following September, however, sparking a year of legal proceedings and a complicated battle to custody of their children.
