British actor Hugh Grant, 64, shared the story of his daughters' names for the first time during an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday, October 29. Grant confessed that he was in a moment of panic when deciding on the names of his children.
During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel asked the actor about his unusual middle name, "Mungo". "Is it true that your middle name is Mungo?" Kimmel asked. After Grant answered "yes," Kimmel asked him how he ended up with such a name.
"It's actually Hugh John Mungo," Grant clarified. "I don't know how it happened. I had very rude parents," he said humorously.
When Kimmel asked him if he had passed down this tradition of middle names for his children, the actor revealed that his 8-year-old daughter has another unusual name.
"Even worse. We named one of my daughters… I was in such a panic that day when we were naming her and we thought it would be cool that when she grows up she can say her middle name is 'Jeopardy'. That's why we called her Lulu Danger Grant,” explains Grant.
During the interview, the actor also explained that, although he is not a big fan of Halloween, his daughters are passionate about this holiday.
“My kids love (Halloween). They adore him," he says. “Actually, Lulu Danger Grant and her sister Blue Grant, who we called Blue because we were panicking about names again. We asked Lulu's older brother for an idea when she was still in the womb,” he explains.
"We said, 'There's a new baby coming, what do you think we should call it?' And he said, 'Kevin,' because that was his favorite Minion from the movie Despicable Me," Grant explains with a laugh. "We even thought of calling him Kevin, but then we asked him to think of something else. Then he said 'Blue' because it was his favorite color."
