Shawn Mendes has recently released a new single titled "The Mountain" from his upcoming album, "Shawn."

In a video posted on TikTok by a person on October 19, Mendes is seen performing the new song, which appears to address rumors about his sexuality and other comments circulating about him.

The video shows the singer playing the guitar and singing the lines:

"I have a change of heart, you can say what you want to say, you can say I'm too young, you can say I'm too old, you can say I like girls or boys, whatever you want good," while the crowd appears in the background and starts clapping in support of the artist.

With the release of this song, it's not the first time the "Wonder" singer has addressed rumors about his sexuality. In 2020, Mendes revealed that he was beginning to feel frustrated by all the speculation.

"Everyone has been calling me gay since I was 15," he explained in 2020. "I thought I had a problem with the way my voice sounded. But I'm not!" he continued, explaining how much the baseless rumors had burdened him.

Ever since he became famous, Shawn Mendes' romances have been in the public eye. This includes his four-year long relationship with singer Camila Cabello, which ended in 2023.
