It seems that age is no longer a joke for famous comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who has revealed that she has been diagnosed with osteoporosis, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).
The Emmy winner opened up about her recent health issues while discussing age and aging in a comedy called "For Your Approval," which premiered on Netflix this week.
DeGeneres learned she had osteoporosis, a disease that causes bones to weaken leading to fractures, after taking a random bone density test.
"I don't even know how I'm standing right now," DeGeneres quipped. "I'm like a human castle that can collapse in the shower." The TV star added that beyond osteoporosis, doctors have found that she also suffers from arthritis.
“I was in excruciating pain one day and thought I had torn a ligament or something and immediately had a scan. The doctors told me it's not a crack or a fracture, but arthritis,” she said.
As for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), DeGeneres revealed that she was diagnosed with these disorders while in therapy following allegations that she created a toxic work environment for her employees, with fear and racism.

"I was in therapy for a period of time trying to deal with all the hate that was coming at me. And you know, it wasn't a normal situation for a therapist to deal with. When I look back now I think my dad has must have had OCD. He would check the doorknob 15 times before we left the house, unplug everything, etc."
The well-known comedian added that despite her age and all the health problems and disorders, she is facing every challenge in the right way.
“So I have ADHD and OCD, I'm losing my memory. But I think I've adapted well to this whole situation, despite obsessing over every detail and everything," she concludes.
